- In this stage, objectives are to assess (Blueprint to Success) the individual and create a blueprint of their functional kinetic chain. Focus of this phase: determine baselines of performance and fitness levels, alignment, activating the inner unit (CORE), creating balance strategies, correcting postural distortion patterns and soft tissue length/tension relationships.
ReLOAD Input New Software / New Patterns and Strategies
- In this stage, objectives are to input new software while addressing prior, dysfunctional, movement strategies. Integration is then addressed as the body learns to move in multi-planar directions while maintaining stability. Primal movement patterns are highly emphasized while stability and inner unit awareness remain essential.
ReIGNITE Performance Based Movement Integration / Resistance and Workload Increases / Sport Specific Applications
- In this stage, objectives are related to athletic challenges and increasing both, workload and resistance, under stress. Performance enhancement specific for your sport or recreational endeavours are addressed. Metabolic conditioning is utilized with the goal of preparing the body for the MATRIX: the complete integration of all stages challenging both physical and mental strength.

Alan, a Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM-PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, received his Diploma in Human Performance with a concentration in Exercise Science. He is also certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT), and Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM-CES). He also hold certifications as a Medical Exercise Specialist (MES), and a level 1 Neuromuscular Therapist.
As a competitive soccer, football, basketball and baseball athlete throughout his teens and college years Alan is recognized as a passionate, dedicated coach who can jump, sprint, and lift alongside his best athletes and clients to push them to higher levels – and keep them healthy and injury free in the process.
Alan specializes in applied kinesiology, biomechanics, and various forms of body work as they relate to program design, corrective exercise, functional strength development and athletic performance enhancement. Frequently Asked Questions
Many of you have never been to a gym or have never worked with a trainer before. It can be somewhat intimidating to start something you’ve never tried. All of our staff are here to help you every step of the way on your fitness journey. Here are answers to some of the common questions that we get asked during the first month at AOC.
I’m not a athlete, do I have to be to fit to attend AOC?
One of our missions at AOC is to show that everyone has an inner athlete. With proper form and expert guidance there is a strong and focused athlete in every one of our members! Some of our members are absolute beginners, while others are more experienced. Everyone is welcome! Our knowledgeable AOC team will be there every step of the way guiding each member through their individual fitness journey.
What’s the benefit of working with AOC versus a traditional gym setting?
At AOC you are not a nameless person. The AOC team is personally invested in our member’s success. We strive to provide individualized attention to all of our clients, so you will get results quickly and safely.
How do I decide which package is right for my goals?
This is very individual. That is why we begin the AOC experience with our FREE Blueprint for Success strategy session. This session will include an assessment to correctly pinpoint exactly what your needs and goals are, discussion of your medical history, and an evaluation of your kinetic chain functional performance. The assessment creates a blueprint of the client’s current musculoskeletal status and provides the necessary information to determine the client baseline movement profile. After the Blueprint to Success, your AOC trainer will evaluate the findings and take them into consideration during your workouts.
How do the Group Conditioning sessions work?
If you have bought the Monthly Unlimited Conditioning Membership, you are entitled to an unlimited number of 5-Max Group Conditioning sessions per month. We operate on a first come, first serve basis, and we have a 24hr sign up window. So, we recommend signing up early by going online and using your personal Zen Planner account (we will provide you with your login information and password when you buy your membership). In order to keep the quality of coaching to optimal levels, we have capped the capacity of the session size to 5 people max. Check out our class schedule.
How do I start?
Everyone starts off with a FREE Blueprint to Success strategy session with one of our fitness coaches. We take you through an assessment and sit down to discuss a game plan to help you achieve success. After your Blueprint to Success strategy session, your fitness coach can help guide you in choosing the best option for you and your success. After a few fundamental classes and you demonstrate competency in functional movement patterns, you can attend our group conditioning sessions. Give us a call or stop by our front desk to get started!
What do I need to bring?
Besides gym appropriate clothing, please bring a towel to put on our yoga mats and bring a water bottle as you will be sweating a lot!
What do I do when I arrive for a training session?
When you arrive, just say “hi” and let our fitness coach know you’re here. Sign up for either our group session (maximum 5 people) or sign in for personal training (anywhere from 1 to 3 people at a time). If the gym is full, just get started on foam rolling or warming up before a fitness coach is able to assist you.
Can I just drop into a conditioning session without being a member?
No. At AOC we offer a high level of individualized coaching that requires meeting with all new members, taking them through a movement screen to assess for injury risk, and learning about their particular goals, backgrounds, and medical history. We pride ourselves on offering outstanding results in a safe, effective, and personalized manner. Because of our deep commitment to any clients we work with AOC is a member’s only club and there is no option for dropping in for a single class.
Is AOC Open on Public Holidays?
AOC observes public holidays and in some cases the studio will be closed on these days.
If I miss a session, can I bank that session and carry it over into the next month?
Unfortunately, there is no banking or carrying over of missed sessions. AOC is determined to help you achieve your goals, and that includes helping you keep your commitments to sessions within the monthly time-frame.
Do you have showers?
We do not have showers at this time. We do have convenient bathrooms though! And filtered water!
