Fuel: Almond Hummus

For those of us that stay away from legumes, this hummus recipe is a good alternative and simple to put together.
If you’re trying to stay on track when heading out to a party, one of the best things to do is bring some food to share that you’ll be A-OK eating. This little appie fits the bill. Crowd pleasing and makes the nutrient cut.
Suggest serving with cut raw veg or with sliced cucumber rounds as an alternative to crackers.
Recipe makes roughly 2 cups.
1 cup almonds, soaked
¾ cup water
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup raw sesame tahini
2 cloves garlic
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
¼ tsp cumin powder
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Store in refrigerator.
