Fueling the Fat Burn…Outside the Gym (Part 4)
In the fourth part of this series about maximizing fat burning, we are going to be talking about the last part of the equation: food!
We’ve been letting you in on the secrets of getting great results and have covered:
- Metabolism and how it relates to fat loss
- Strength training and how it ties in to metabolism
- Why proper performance of strength training is important
And now we have one last piece to chat about. Equally important to what you are doing in the gym (where tons can be accomplished), what takes place outside of the gym and sit down to eat is key. There is no one coaching you in the kitchen to have better “form” so to speak, with your nutrition choices, so this one is all you.
Nutrition is crucial not only to achieving results, but maintaining them, and providing your body with the right fuel to perform and recover! Without this piece, the rest may not come together as you’d envisioned.
So, in review, to become a fat burning machine:
Ditch the single focus cardio programs and make sure you’re including properly performed (via expert coaching) whole body strength and interval training.
Focus on maintaining or building muscle to keep your metabolism hot.
Keep consistent and correct your form.
Be mindful and accountable of what you are fuelling your body with.
If you need more help in the kitchen, our Head Trainer, Natasha is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and is always supportive of our members in their journey to better nutrition.
We also have some stellar recipes on the blog that will not only satisfy, but keep your nutrition in check with the rest of your fat burning goals.
Now you know the secret too. Build muscle and burn, baby, burn!
